"Then the Lord said to Moses, " I will rain down bread from heaven for you. The people are to go out each day and gather enough for that day. In this way I will test them and see whether they will follow my instructions." Exodus 16:4 The Israelites just left Egypt and had to learn how to hear the voice of Lord and obey. There were things He needed to teach them and prune out of them. They lacked many things, among them faith in God's character to provide. God gave specific commands to only gather enough manna for the day and do not gather on the 7th day. He wanted to show them He was able to provide daily, and they did not need to depend on themselves or the flesh. But, surprise, surprise..they disobeyed. God was not surprised at this which is why he knew they needed to be tested so they can also see their lack of faith and learn to depend on Him, and only Him. When we are in our wilderness season, we are learning to depend on God like never before. We are learning aspects about ourselves that we cannot take into the Promised Land. The Israelites were on a journey to the Promised Land, but before they arrive they had to be ready to enter. What does it mean to be "Ready?" This means that you have allowed the pruning, you have fought through warfare and learned what it means to realize God is not what we need, he is all we have and we need nothing more. You have learned that you can depend on Him for "he is the same yesterday, today and forever more". Hebrews 13:8 He has proven that his character is steadfast.

"Now the children of Israel camped in Gilgal, and kept the Passover on the fourteenth day of the month at twilight on the plains of Jericho. 11 And they ate of the produce of the land on the day after the Passover, unleavened bread and [f]parched grain, on the very same day. 12 Then the manna ceased on the day after they had eaten the produce of the land; and the children of Israel no longer had manna, but they ate the food of the land of Canaan that year." Joshua 5:10-12. After they left the wilderness and crossed over and camped in the Gilgal which means the Lord has rolled away the reproach of Egypt for you, they for the first time ate the food of the land. When you leave your wilderness, God will feed you differently. You are no longer in the training phase because you have passed the boot camp, and now you can reap the benefits. It doesn't mean warfare ends because the Israelites still had to fight but they were well equipped and were able to take down the walls of Jericho. You will do the same as your enter your promised land. Amen

All voice that we listen to will cease on that day we stand before Him. The only voice we will hear is God's voice and Him saying. "Well...
